This Privacy Policy explains how Strategic Billing Enterprise, LLC ("SBE," "we," "us") handles information collected through this website, www.strategicbilling.net (the "Site"). It covers the Site only. Services we provide to clients are governed by each client's written agreement, including any business associate agreement.

Do not send patient information through this Site

The Site is not designed to receive protected health information (PHI). Please do not include patient names, dates of birth, run numbers, diagnoses, or other patient details in anything you submit here. The contact form has no notes field for this reason, and it asks you to confirm that you are not submitting PHI.

Information we collect

Information you submit through the contact form

• Required: your name, agency or municipality, email address, and confirmation that you are not submitting PHI.
• Optional: your role, phone number, approximate annual call volume, current billing method, main area of concern, and timeline.
• The page you submitted the form from.

The optional questions are multiple-choice, and you can leave any of them blank.

Information collected automatically

When you visit, our website hosting provider automatically processes technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the time of your visit, in order to deliver, secure, and measure use of the Site. Our form database provider keeps short-term server logs, including IP addresses, when a form is submitted.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or social media pixels. The fonts on this Site are served from our own domain, not from a third-party font service. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The Site will still display, though some hosting features may not work as intended.

How we use information

• To respond to your inquiry and to schedule and prepare for any conversation you request, such as a Billing Readiness Review.
• To operate, maintain, and secure the Site, and to understand in aggregate how it is used.
• To comply with legal obligations and to protect our rights.

We do not add you to a marketing email list because you submitted the form. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

How we share information

We share information only with:

• Service providers that process it on our behalf: our website hosting and analytics provider, our form database provider, and our email provider, which delivers inquiry notifications to our staff.
• Authorities or others when required by law, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SBE, our clients, or others.
• A successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this Policy.

How long we keep information

We keep inquiry records only as long as we need them to respond to you and to keep a reasonable record of our business communications, and then delete them. You can ask us to delete your inquiry at any time (see below). Hosting and server logs are kept by our providers for limited periods under their own retention practices.

How we protect information

The Site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections. Form submissions are stored in a database that the public cannot read; only SBE's authorized administrators can view them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your privacy rights and how to make a request

Depending on where you live, including under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, you may have the right to:

• confirm whether we process your personal data, and access it;
• correct inaccurate personal data;
• delete your personal data;
• obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable format; and
• opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not do any of these.

We honor these requests from any visitor, wherever they live. To make a request, email contact@strategicbilling.net with the subject line "Privacy Request," or call (888) 723-4494. Tell us what you are asking for and the email address you used on the Site. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time, as the law allows. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to an appeal within 45 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. Because we do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, a browser privacy signal such as Global Privacy Control requires no further action from us, but we treat it as an opt-out request.

Children

The Site is intended for EMS, healthcare, and government professionals. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to other websites

The Site links to other websites, such as university and research pages. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page before they take effect.
